  • 1 pound ground beef Brown before combining.
  • 1 box uncooked elbow macaroni No need to pre-cook.
  • 1 large can crushed tomatoes
  • 3 cups beef broth Can use low-sodium broth.
  • A dash onion powder
  • A dash garlic salt

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat and drain the excess fat.
  3. In a large baking dish, combine the browned beef, uncooked elbow macaroni, crushed tomatoes, beef broth, onion powder, and garlic salt.
  4. Stir to combine all ingredients well.
Baking
  1. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the macaroni is cooked, and the liquid is absorbed.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider sautéing onions and bell peppers with the ground beef. You can add other vegetables, like peas or mushrooms, for extra nutrition. If you like a bit of spice, add some red pepper flakes to the mix. Experiment with different cheeses for topping, like mozzarella or cheddar. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to three days or frozen for up to three months.
