  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey) Use lean ground beef or turkey for reduced fat.
  • 1 family size can of cream of mushroom soup Creamy base for the stroganoff.
  • 1 small tub sour cream About half of the container.
  • to taste pepper Season according to your taste.
  • as needed Egg noodles (or rice or mashed potatoes for serving) Cook according to package instructions for the best texture.

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef (or turkey) over medium heat until browned.
  2. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until well combined.
  4. Season with pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve the beef stroganoff mixture over cooked egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the dish cool completely, then transfer it to an airtight container. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat on the stove or in the microwave before serving again. For extra flavor, add onions or mushrooms when cooking the meat. If you like it spicy, sprinkle in some paprika or a splash of hot sauce.
