  • 30 oz frozen hash browns
  • 1 lb cooked ground sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 12 pieces eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix the hash browns, cooked ground sausage, and shredded cheese.
  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs and whisk in the milk, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spray the inside of the crockpot with cooking spray.
  4. Layer half of the hash brown mixture in the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Pour half of the egg mixture over the top.
  6. Repeat with the remaining hash brown mixture and then the egg mixture.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.

Notes

Serve the casserole hot with fresh fruits, simple salad, or a dollop of salsa or sour cream. You can add vegetables such as bell peppers or onions for extra flavor. For a spicier version, use spicy sausage or add jalapeƱos. The casserole can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for longer storage.
