Preparation
- Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered side of the bread.
- Roll up each slice tightly, starting from the side without the crust.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla.
Cooking
- Dip each roll in the egg mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little butter.
- Cook each roll for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Serving
- Serve warm on a plate drizzled with maple syrup.
Notes
If you have leftovers, let them cool completely and store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them in the microwave for a few seconds until warm. You can also add fresh fruit or whipped cream for extra delight.
