Preparation
- Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper. Cover the bottom entirely with a tight layer of Nabisco Lorna Doone Shortbread Cookies.
Caramel Layer
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the Kraft Caramels with the heavy cream until smooth.
- Pour the thick, melted caramel evenly over the cookie layer. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes until firm.
Chocolate Layer
- Melt the Toll House Milk Chocolate Morsels and pour a thick layer over the set caramel.
- Chill again until solid, then cut into massive, candy-bar-sized slabs.
Notes
Ensure the caramel is fully melted and smooth for the best texture. For easier cutting, let the slab chill after adding the chocolate layer. Consider adding sea salt on top of the chocolate for extra flavor.
