Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the cucumber, onion, and bell pepper thinly.
  2. In a bowl, combine vinegar, water, salt, sugar, and peppercorns; stir until dissolved.
  3. Place the sliced vegetables in a jar.
  4. Pour the vinegar mixture over the vegetables, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  5. Add garlic and fresh herbs if desired.
  6. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving for optimal flavor.
