Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 6 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies Cereal
  • 1.5 bags Jet-Puffed Mini Marshmallows (15 oz total)
  • 1/3 cup Land O'Lakes Unsalted Butter

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until completely melted.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch pan and allow to cool.
  5. For a watermelon effect, use food coloring to dye some of the mixture green for the outer layer and leave the inside white or mix with red coloring for a watermelon look.
Serving
  1. Once cool and set, cut them into squares or triangles.
  2. Serve them on a platter or stack them in a fun way to enhance their watermelon appearance.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. In humid areas, check them daily as they can become sticky. For best texture, mix marshmallows and butter thoroughly and press the mixture firmly into the pan.
