  • 4 cups watermelon, cubed Choose a ripe watermelon for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust according to your taste.
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 cups sparkling water Add right before serving for maximum fizz.
Garnish
  • to taste Fresh mint For garnish and added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, puree the watermelon cubes until smooth.
  2. Strain the watermelon puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp.
  3. Stir in the sugar and lime juice until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Add the sparkling water and gently mix.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint.

Notes

Store any leftovers in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days for the best taste. For variations, add fresh berries or a splash of coconut water for extra flavor. For an adult version, mix in a splash of vodka or rum.
