Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Filling
  • 1 cup diced apples Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for best flavor.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, applesauce, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples.
Baking
  1. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
  3. Let cool slightly before serving.
