Ingredients
  

For the Egg Boil
  • 6 large large eggs soft or hard boiled
For the Sauce
  • 3 tbsp butter for sautéing
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth can substitute with vegetable broth or water
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay or Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes optional for extra spice
  • 1/2 none juice of 1/2 lemon
  • to taste none salt
  • to garnish none chopped parsley or green onions

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil the eggs to your desired doneness, then cool and peel them.
  2. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced onion and garlic. Sauté until they are soft and fragrant.
  4. Stir in the seasonings, brown sugar, and chicken broth. Let it simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Add lemon juice and adjust the seasoning to taste.
  6. Place the peeled eggs in a bowl and pour the hot sauce over them.
  7. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve warm.

Notes

To store any leftovers, place the eggs and sauce in an airtight container in the fridge. They will stay fresh for up to three days. Reheat gently before serving.
