Preparation
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Place one slice of bread butter-side down in the skillet.
- Layer with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and dressing.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
Cooking
- Cook until bread is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until golden and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
Serve warm with a side of pickle spears, potato chips, or a simple salad. Add extra Thousand Island dressing on the side for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days, reheat in a skillet or microwave.
