Preparation
- Steep the Thai tea leaves in hot water for 5 minutes.
- Strain through a fine mesh strainer.
- Stir in sugar and salt until dissolved.
- Allow to cool and store in the fridge.
Thai Style Iced Tea
- Mix 3/4 cup of Thai tea base with sweetened condensed milk in a mixing glass.
- Pour over a glass filled with ice and drizzle with evaporated milk.
American Style Iced Tea
- Mix 3/4 cup of Thai tea base with sugar in a mixing glass.
- Pour over a glass filled with ice and drizzle with half and half.
Notes
Serve cold over ice. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a slice of lime. For storage, keep the Thai tea base in the fridge for up to a week. Mixed tea should be consumed immediately for best freshness.
