Ingredients
Method
Cooking the Beef
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
Seasoning the Filling
- Add the taco seasoning and water to the beef. Stir well and let it simmer until the mixture thickens and becomes fully coated.
Preparing the Dough
- Roll or stretch the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a sheet of parchment paper.
Adding the Filling
- Spoon the seasoned beef down the center of the dough. Top with shredded cheese and salsa.
Folding and Sealing
- Fold the long sides of the dough over the filling and pinch the ends tightly to seal everything inside.
Brushing and Baking
- Brush the outside with a beaten egg and bake until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
Notes
Make sure to drain excess liquid from the salsa before adding it to avoid a soggy crust. Sealing the dough well also helps keep all the filling inside while baking.
