Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 6 medium medium apples, washed and dried Choose firm apples for best results.
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips Can substitute with dark or milk chocolate.
  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed For a stronger strawberry flavor, blend into a powder.
  • 1/2 cup crushed shortcake cookies or graham crackers These add crunch and flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  2. Dip each apple into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated.
  3. Immediately roll the chocolate-coated apple in the crushed freeze-dried strawberries and then in the crushed shortcake cookies or graham crackers.
  4. Place the apples on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator before serving.

Notes

Serve these candy apples on a platter at room temperature. Pair with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat. To store, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, separating with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
