  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced jalapeño adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add minced jalapeño, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to sterilized jars and seal tightly.
  6. Store in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
