Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the strawberries with sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of the strawberry mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough around the strawberries, tucking in the sides as you go.
- Place the dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
Cooking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
Serve Strawberry Dumplings warm, preferably right out of the oven. They can be enjoyed as is or topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for extra indulgence. A sprinkle of powdered sugar on top can also add a beautiful finish. If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat them before serving.
