Ingredients
  

For the filling
  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened Use fresh cream cheese for the best texture.
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar Adjust amount based on taste preference.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced Use fresh strawberries, thaw and drain if using frozen.
For assembly
  • 4 pieces flour tortillas Whole wheat tortillas can be used as a substitute.
  • Butter for cooking Use for greasing the skillet.
  • Chocolate sauce for drizzling (optional) Adds extra sweetness.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on half of each tortilla.
  3. Top with sliced strawberries.
  4. Fold the tortillas in half to create quesadillas.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little butter.
  2. Cook the quesadillas for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the filling is warm.
  3. Slice into wedges and drizzle with chocolate sauce if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

These quesadillas are best served warm. You can sprinkle some extra sliced strawberries on top for decoration. Experiment with adding other fruits or spices for a twist.
