Method

Prepare the Cheesecake Layer
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until completely smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and fluffy.
  5. Set aside.
Make the Pudding Layer
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
  2. Let it sit for a few minutes to firm up slightly.
Assemble the Dessert
  1. In a large trifle dish, glass bowl, or individual cups, start with a layer of vanilla wafers on the bottom.
  2. Add a layer of banana slices and chopped strawberries.
  3. Spoon a layer of the cheesecake mixture on top.
  4. Spread a layer of vanilla pudding evenly over the cheesecake.
  5. Repeat the layers as needed, ending with a pudding or cheesecake layer on top.
Garnish and Chill
  1. Top with fresh strawberries, banana slices, and a sprinkle of crushed strawberry wafers for added texture and color.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set perfectly.

Notes

Make it ahead! This dessert tastes even better the next day after chilling overnight. For more flavor, use strawberry pudding instead of vanilla. Add an extra banana layer for more fruity sweetness or a tablespoon of lemon juice to the cheesecake mixture for a tangier flavor.
