Creamy Filling
  • 225 g cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipped cream Use fresh whipped cream for best taste
Fruit Layers
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced Use ripe bananas for best flavor
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced Fresh strawberries are preferred
Base
  • 1 package (about 11 oz) vanilla wafers

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. Fold in the whipped cream gently until no streaks remain.
Layering
  1. In a trifle dish or a large bowl, layer the vanilla wafers, a layer of the cream cheese mixture, banana slices, and strawberry slices.
  2. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the cream cheese mixture on top.
Chill
  1. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
Serve
  1. Serve chilled, garnished with extra fruit slices or whipped cream if desired.

Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Best enjoyed fresh.
