  • 2 cups frozen unsweetened strawberries Using frozen strawberries makes the smoothie thicker and creamier.
  • 1 cup fat-free milk Almond milk or soy milk can be used for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 medium banana, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter Crunchy peanut butter can be used for a different texture.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • to taste Fresh strawberries (optional) Optional garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine all ingredients.
  2. Cover and process for 30 seconds or until smooth.
  3. Pour into chilled glasses. Optionally, garnish with additional peanut butter and fresh strawberries.

Notes

Serve in tall glasses. For extra fun, add whipped cream on top or a sprinkle of granola for crunch. This smoothie pairs well with toast or oatmeal.
