Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 4 pieces chicken drumsticks Pat dry before seasoning.
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce For brushing onto the chicken.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For rubbing on the chicken.
  • 1/2 tsp paprika For seasoning.
  • to taste Salt & black pepper Use as desired.
For the Fries
  • 2 medium potatoes, cut into fries You can vary types of potatoes.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For tossing the fries.
  • to taste Salt & pepper Use as desired.
For the Slaw
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cabbage Base of the slaw.
  • 1/2 piece carrot, shredded Add for color and crunch.
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise For creaminess.
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar For tang.
  • to taste Salt & black pepper Adjust to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the drumsticks dry with a paper towel and rub them with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken on a baking sheet.
Cooking Chicken
  1. Roast the chicken in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 30 minutes.
  2. After 30 minutes, brush the drumsticks generously with BBQ sauce and bake for another 10–15 minutes until the sauce caramelizes.
Cooking Fries
  1. Toss the potato pieces with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Spread them out on another baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
Making Slaw
  1. In a bowl, mix shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper.

Notes

You can marinate the chicken in BBQ sauce for a few hours before cooking to enhance the flavor. Use a variety of potatoes for your fries, like sweet potatoes or Yukon golds. Add extra spices to the slaw, like cilantro or green onions, for added flavor.
