Smoothie Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup 2% milk For a creamier texture, use whole milk.
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt Add more yogurt for increased creaminess.
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup fresh spinach You can use frozen spinach as well.
  • 1 ripe medium banana Use a ripe banana for a sweeter flavor.
  • 1 cup cubed fresh pineapple, frozen

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine all ingredients.
  2. Cover and process for 30 seconds or until smooth.
Serving
  1. Serve the spinach smoothie in a tall glass and drink it right after making for the freshest taste.
  2. Optionally, top with extra pieces of fruit or a sprinkle of chia seeds for added texture and nutrition.

Notes

If you have any leftovers, store the smoothie in a sealed container in the refrigerator. It's best to consume within a day but may separate; shake before drinking. For a dairy-free version, use almond milk and plant-based yogurt. Adding protein powder can create a post-workout drink.
