Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces lamb chops
  • 2 servings instant noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 piece jalapeƱo or chili, sliced Adjust based on spice preference.
  • 1 tablespoon oil For cooking the aromatics.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • a pinch chili flakes
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1 piece egg Fried until edges are crisp.

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the lamb chops generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat a pan until very hot and sear the chops until deeply browned and caramelized. Remove from the pan and allow them to rest.
  3. Cook the instant noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, heat a small amount of oil. Add the sliced onion and chili, cooking briefly until fragrant and slightly softened.
  5. Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and black pepper. Toss in the cooked noodles, mixing well so they absorb the seasoning evenly.
  6. In a separate pan, fry the egg until the edges are crisp and golden.
  7. Serve the noodles in a bowl, top with the rested lamb chops, and finish with the fried egg.

Notes

Use high heat for lamb to build flavor quickly. Rest the meat to preserve juices. Do not overcook noodles to prevent mushiness. Cook aromatics briefly to maintain brightness. Variations include adding fresh herbs, extra chili oil, light vegetable sides, or citrus accents.
