Ingredients
  

Smoothie Ingredients
  • 2 ripe fuyu persimmons Use ripe for best flavor.
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup almond milk, cashew milk, or other nut milk Coconut milk can also be used for creaminess.
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground cloves

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the persimmons and slice off the stem.
  2. Add the persimmons, frozen banana, nut milk, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves to a high-powered blender.
  3. Blend for one minute until smooth.
  4. Optionally, garnish the inside of a glass with a thin slice of persimmon.
Serving
  1. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy it right away.
  2. You can serve it as a breakfast option or a mid-afternoon snack.
  3. For a fun twist, add some granola or nuts on top for extra texture.
Storage
  1. If you have leftovers, store the smoothie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
  2. Keep in mind that it may separate, so give it a good shake before drinking.

Notes

Use ripe persimmons for the best flavor. For added creaminess, try using coconut milk instead of nut milk. If you like it sweeter, add a little honey or maple syrup.
