Method
Preparation
- Wash the persimmons and slice off the stem.
- Add the persimmons, frozen banana, nut milk, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves to a high-powered blender.
- Blend for one minute until smooth.
- Optionally, garnish the inside of a glass with a thin slice of persimmon.
Serving
- Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy it right away.
- You can serve it as a breakfast option or a mid-afternoon snack.
- For a fun twist, add some granola or nuts on top for extra texture.
Storage
- If you have leftovers, store the smoothie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
- Keep in mind that it may separate, so give it a good shake before drinking.
Notes
Use ripe persimmons for the best flavor. For added creaminess, try using coconut milk instead of nut milk. If you like it sweeter, add a little honey or maple syrup.
