Preparation
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Cooking
- In a slow cooker, combine the rice, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Stir well to combine, and if desired, add raisins.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture is creamy.
Serving
- Serve warm, or let it cool slightly before serving. Top with cinnamon, honey, or fresh fruit if desired.
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Add a splash of milk when reheating if the pudding thickens.
