Main Ingredients
  • 1 box Penne pasta Can substitute with another type of pasta.
  • 1 lb ground beef For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 large white onion, chopped
  • 2 cans Manwich Sloppy Joe sauce Can substitute with any Sloppy Joe sauce.
  • 1 bag Velveeta Shreds (original) Adjust quantity of cheese based on preference.
  • 1 bag shredded Colby Jack cheese

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the pasta according to the box instructions and then drain it.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the grease from the pan.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta, the meat mixture, both cans of Manwich sauce, and the bag of Velveeta shreds until well combined.
  4. Pour this mixture into a 9x13 baking dish.
  5. Top the mixture with shredded Colby Jack cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven at 350°F for about 20–25 minutes, or until it is bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

Serve hot with a side salad or garlic bread. Add pickles or coleslaw for extra crunch. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3–4 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
