Preparation
- Brown the ground beef in a pan over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the sloppy joe mix and let it simmer for a few minutes. Then, set aside.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F and roast the tater tots on a sheet pan for 15 minutes or until they are crispy.
Assembly
- In a 9x13 dish, layer the crispy tater tots evenly on the bottom.
- Smother the tater tots with the beef mixture.
- Swirl the nacho cheese on top of the beef layer.
- Finish by sprinkling the shredded cheddar cheese over everything.
Baking
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F until bubbly, about 20-25 minutes.
- For a nice cheesy crust, do a quick broil for 2-3 minutes at the end. Watch it closely!
