Sloppy Joe Casserole

Ingredients
  

Pasta and Meat Mixture
  • 1 box Penne pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 medium white onion, chopped
Sauce and Cheese
  • 2 cans Manwich Sloppy Joe sauce
  • 1 bag Velveeta Shreds (original)
  • 1 bag shredded Colby Jack cheese Can substitute with mozzarella for variation.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the box and then drain it.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion. Once cooked, drain the grease.
Mixing and Baking
  1. In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta, meat mixture, both cans of Manwich sauce, and the Velveeta shreds together.
  2. Pour the mixture into a 9×13 baking dish and top it with the shredded Colby Jack cheese.
  3. Bake in an oven preheated to 350°F for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until it is bubbly and the cheese is melted.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the casserole cool completely. Then, cover it tightly and refrigerate. Lasts about 3 to 4 days. It can also be frozen for longer storage. Thaw in the fridge before reheating.
