  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
  • 1 cup whole milk, room temperature
For the glaze
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla and almond extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
