Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups broth (chicken or beef)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Cooking the Steak
  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, season the steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear for 4-5 minutes on each side or until your desired doneness.
  3. Remove from skillet and let it rest.
Preparing the Rice
  1. In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the rice and broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
  3. Cover and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy.
Serving
  1. Slice the rested steak and serve it over the cheesy garlic rice.
  2. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

Make sure to let the steak rest after cooking to keep it juicy. You can mix in vegetables like peas or bell peppers for added nutrition and flavor. If reheating leftovers, add a splash of broth to keep the rice creamy.
