Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups diced potatoes Cut evenly for perfect cooking
  • 1 piece steak, cubed (sirloin or ribeye) For best flavor
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped Adds crispy texture and smoky taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh for stronger aroma
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese For a rich, melty finish
  • 2 tablespoons butter Creates a flavorful base
  • 1/4 cup sour cream Adds creaminess and balance
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Method

Cooking the Meal
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, keeping the flavorful fat in the pan.
  2. Add the diced potatoes to the same skillet and cook until golden brown and tender. Stir occasionally to get a crispy texture on all sides.
  3. Add the cubed steak to the skillet and cook to your desired doneness, allowing a nice sear to develop.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and butter. Cook for about one minute until fragrant and everything is coated in rich flavor.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and sour cream. Let the cheese melt slightly, mix gently, and serve hot.

Notes

Using a hot skillet helps achieve a perfect sear on both the steak and potatoes. Let the ingredients cook without overcrowding the pan so everything develops a rich, golden color.
