- In a bowl, mix 1/3 cup of the French onion soup with the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper.
- Shape this mixture into six oval patties.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and brown the patties on both sides.
- Once browned, drain any grease from the pan.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining French onion soup, ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard powder.
- Pour this gravy over the browned patties in the skillet. Cover and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
Notes
Serve hot with mashed potatoes or rice, and add a side of green vegetables like steamed broccoli or peas for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or can be frozen for 2-3 months.
