Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9 x 13 inch pan according to the package instructions for the cake mix.
- In a bowl, mix the white cake mix, eggs, and water until well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for the time indicated on the cake mix box.
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
- Poke holes in the cake using the end of a wooden spoon.
- In another bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk with food coloring (red and blue) to create a red and blue mixture.
- Pour the colored mixtures over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
- Refrigerate the cake until fully chilled, about 2 hours.
Finishing Touches
- Spread whipped topping over the top of the cake.
- Decorate with sliced strawberries and blueberries.
- Serve cold and enjoy your festive dessert!
Notes
Make sure the cake is completely cooled before poking holes in it; otherwise, it may break apart. Use fresh fruit for best taste and appearance. Adjust the food coloring to achieve the desired shades.
