Method
Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees F (182 degrees C) for about 5 minutes.
- Line the air fryer basket with foil or a parchment liner and spray with cooking spray.
- In a small skillet, heat over medium heat and cook the ground beef until it turns brown and crumbly, about 3 minutes. Drain the grease.
- Stir in the water, taco seasoning, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper into the beef. Remove the skillet from the heat.
Assembly
- Place the tortilla chips in the air fryer basket, spreading them out while overlapping slightly.
- Evenly sprinkle the Cheddar cheese over the chips.
- Add the ground beef and black beans on top of the cheese, then top with sliced green onions and spoonfuls of salsa.
Cooking
- Transfer the basket into the air fryer and cook until the cheese is melted and slightly browned, about 4 to 6 minutes.
- Remove the nachos to a serving plate and garnish with sour cream. Serve immediately, with extra toppings in small bowls for customization.
Notes
Use oven-safe parchment paper or foil for easier cleanup. Don't overload the nachos with toppings to allow for better cooking. Experiment with different cheeses like Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack for extra flavor. Consider adding sliced jalapeƱos before cooking for a spicy twist.
