Ingredients
  

Smoothie Base
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
  • 6 ounces mixed berry yogurt Use non-dairy yogurt for a vegan option.
  • 1 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries Frozen fruits yield a thicker consistency.
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach Can substitute with kale for extra nutrients.
  • 1/2 medium ripe frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup frozen unsweetened blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
Toppings (optional)
  • to taste sliced fresh strawberries
  • to taste fresh blueberries
  • to taste extra flaxseed
  • to taste granola Add for texture and flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine the orange juice, pomegranate juice, mixed berry yogurt, frozen strawberries, fresh spinach, frozen banana, frozen blueberries, and ground flaxseed.
  2. Cover and process for about 30 seconds or until smooth.
  3. Pour the smoothie into chilled bowls.
  4. Top with your choice of sliced fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, extra flaxseed, and granola if desired.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; best enjoyed fresh. Adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup if needed. For a creamier texture, opt for full-fat yogurt or add coconut milk.
