Ingredients
  

Salad Base
  • 3 heads romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 3 cups bacon bits Can be omitted for a vegetarian option.
  • 1 16 oz bag shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 16 oz bag baby peas
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream Can be replaced with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped

Method
 

Assembly
  1. In a large glass bowl, layer the chopped romaine lettuce on the bottom.
  2. Next, add the bacon bits on top of the lettuce.
  3. Layer the shredded cheddar cheese over the bacon.
  4. Add the baby peas layer on top of the cheese.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream, and sugar to create the dressing.
  6. Spread the dressing evenly over the peas.
  7. Finally, sprinkle the chopped green onions on top.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

This salad is best served chilled. It can be served directly from the bowl or scooped into individual plates for a prettier display. To store leftovers, cover with plastic wrap or a lid. Consume within 2-3 days for freshness.
