Ingredients
  

Smoothie Ingredients
  • 1 can (20 ounces) unsweetened pineapple chunks, undrained Use fresh pineapple if preferred.
  • 1 cup buttermilk Can substitute with yogurt or almond milk.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons sugar Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Drain the pineapple, keeping 1/2 cup of the juice.
  2. Freeze the pineapple chunks for a few hours until solid.
Blending
  1. In a blender, combine the reserved juice, buttermilk, vanilla, sugar, and frozen pineapple.
  2. Cover and blend until the mixture is smooth.
Serving
  1. Serve the smoothie immediately in tall glasses.
  2. Optional: garnish with a slice of fresh pineapple or a sprig of mint.

Notes

For best flavor, use ripe, sweet pineapples. Adjust sweetness with more sugar or honey as desired. Leftover smoothies can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours in a sealed container.
