- Peel, core, and chop the pineapple into chunks. Measure out 2 cups for the smoothie and save a few wedges and leaves for garnish.
Blending
- In a blender, combine the ice, chopped pineapple, water, and sugar. Blend on high speed until completely smooth.
- If the smoothie is too thick, add more water to reach desired consistency; if too thin, add more ice and blend again.
Taste and Adjust
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if necessary. Blend again briefly to combine.
Serving
- Pour the smoothie into glasses and garnish each with a pineapple leaf and wedge if using.
Notes
Serve cold for best taste. Chill glasses before serving. For a creamier smoothie, add yogurt or coconut milk. Consider adding banana or spinach for a tropical twist.
