  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Preparation
  1. Hard boil the eggs, then cool and peel them.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, vinegar, salt, sugar, mustard seeds, black peppercorns, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Place the peeled eggs in a jar. If using food coloring, add it to the brine mixture.
  5. Pour the brine over the eggs, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  6. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.

Notes

Store the Pickled Dragon Eggs in the refrigerator in a sealed jar. They can last up to a month if kept properly. The longer they sit in the brine, the more flavorful they become.
