Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced Slice as thinly as possible for best texture
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded Feel free to substitute with mozzarella or cheddar
  • 1 package pizza dough
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper, and sauté until softened.
  3. Add flank steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove from heat.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into strips.
  5. Place a spoonful of the steak mixture and a generous amount of cheese on each strip.
  6. Roll the dough around the filling and place seam side down on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, paired with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

These breadsticks are easy to customize based on taste and can be paired with various dipping sauces. To store leftovers, cool completely and store in an airtight container, refrigerating for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven.
