  • 24 ounces Frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup Pizza sauce Use warm for dipping.
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese For best melting, use freshly shredded.
  • 1 cup Pepperoni slices Mini pepperoni recommended for better coverage.
  • 10 pieces Wooden skewers Soak in water for 20-30 minutes before use.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the frozen tater tots on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake according to the package directions until golden and crispy, typically 20 to 25 minutes.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool for 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Thread 3 to 4 tater tots onto each wooden skewer, spacing them slightly apart.
Topping
  1. Place the skewers on a clean baking sheet and spoon a small amount of pizza sauce over each tater tot.
  2. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top of the sauce, then finish each skewer with a piece or two of pepperoni.
Baking
  1. Return the topped skewers to the oven and bake for 5 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden, and the pepperoni is slightly crisped.
  2. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

Serve with additional pizza sauce or marinara for dipping. Best when served hot.
