Ingredients
  

For the Patties
  • 1.5 pounds lean ground beef Use a lean variety for better texture.
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper Freshly ground is best.
For the Sandwiches
  • 12 slices Marble Rye bread Other bread types can be used as alternatives.
  • to taste secret sauce Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard or get creative!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the beef mixture into patties.
Cooking
  1. Cook the patties in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through.
  2. Spread secret sauce on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place a cooked patty on half of the slices of bread, top with cheese, then place the other slices on top, sauce side down.
  4. Grill the sandwiches in the skillet until golden brown and cheese is melted.
Serving
  1. Serve hot with crispy fries or a simple side salad.

Notes

Don't overwork the meat when making the patties; this helps keep them tender. Experiment with different types of cheese, like Swiss or cheddar, for various flavors. Make sure the skillet is hot enough before grilling to achieve a nice golden crust. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for about 2-3 days.
