Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Cook the Meat Sauce
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic, stirring until softened and fragrant. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to deepen the flavors.
Mix the Ricotta Layer
- In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, grated Parmesan, and half of the chopped parsley.
- Mix until creamy and smooth.
Assemble the Lasagna
- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Add a layer of lasagna noodles.
- Spread an even layer of the ricotta mixture.
- Add more meat sauce, then sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
- Repeat these layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a generous layer of cheese on top.
Add the Bacon & Bake
- Sprinkle the crumbled turkey bacon over the top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden, bubbly, and slightly crisp at the edges.
Rest & Serve
- Let the lasagna rest for about 10 minutes before slicing to allow the layers to set beautifully.
- Garnish with the remaining parsley before serving.
Notes
This lasagna pairs perfectly with a fresh green salad, garlic bread, or roasted vegetables. For an extra burger-style touch, serve it with dill pickles or a drizzle of special sauce.
