Preparation
- In a saucepan, mix together the sugar and cocoa.
- Add the stick of butter and the can of evaporated milk to the saucepan.
- Stir the mixture continuously until it begins to boil.
Cooking
- Once boiling, keep stirring for about 7 minutes.
- After 7 minutes, remove the saucepan from heat and add the vanilla.
- Stir the mixture continuously for an additional 3 minutes.
- Finally, pour the fudge into a buttered baking dish to let it set.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks, or refrigerate for a month. Stir continuously while cooking to prevent burning.
