  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons Hershey’s cocoa You can substitute with high-quality unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • 1 stick salted butter
  • 1 (5 ounce) can Carnation evaporated milk Essential for a creamy texture.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Nuts (optional) Chopped nuts can be added for extra texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, mix together the sugar and cocoa.
  2. Add the stick of butter and the can of evaporated milk to the saucepan.
  3. Stir the mixture continuously until it begins to boil.
Cooking
  1. Once boiling, keep stirring for about 7 minutes.
  2. After 7 minutes, remove the saucepan from heat and add the vanilla.
  3. Stir the mixture continuously for an additional 3 minutes.
  4. Finally, pour the fudge into a buttered baking dish to let it set.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks, or refrigerate for a month. Stir continuously while cooking to prevent burning.
