Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil Can substitute with neutral oil or melted butter.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • a pinch salt
Optional Ingredients
  • chocolate chips or nuts Optional for added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Stir in the milk and vegetable oil until the mixture is smooth.
  3. If desired, add chocolate chips or nuts and mix well.
Cooking
  1. Pour the batter into a skillet or a non-stick pan over low heat.
  2. Cover with a lid and cook for about 10-15 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean.
  3. Once done, let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Great on its own, or with whipped cream or ice cream. For an extra touch, sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
