  • 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch salt

  • 2 tbsp raisins, mini chocolate chips, or chopped nuts

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, mashed banana, almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.
  2. If using, fold in the raisins, mini chocolate chips, or chopped nuts.
  3. Once mixed, use your hands to form small balls, about 1 inch in size.
  4. Place the energy bites on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness. If you prefer a smoother texture, blend the ingredients in a food processor. Feel free to experiment with different nut butters for varied flavor profiles. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
