  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional) Feel free to substitute with dried fruits or seeds.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine rolled oats, mashed banana, nut butter, cinnamon, and honey or maple syrup.
  2. Mix until well combined.
  3. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
  4. Use your hands to form small balls from the mixture.
  5. Place the energy bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Notes

These energy bites can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week. If you want to keep them longer, freeze them for up to three months, separating bites with parchment paper.
