Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine 2 cups of sliced strawberries and mint leaves.
  2. Use a muddler or the end of a rolling pin to gently mash the strawberries until they release their juices.
  3. Strain this mixture into a large pitcher.
  4. Add the orange juice, lemon juice, and vodka if desired.
  5. Stir in the remaining 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries and the rose petals if using.
Serving
  1. Serve it right away or chill until ready to serve.
  2. Pour over ice and top with sparkling water.
  3. Garnish with fresh mint, strawberries, and rose petals as desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Best to add sparkling water only when ready to serve. The cooler can last up to 2 days in the fridge but is freshest within the first day. For a tropical twist, add slices of kiwi or pineapple.
