Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add the minced meat, salt, pepper, and dried herbs. Cook until the meat is browned.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then mix in the grated cheese.
- Take the bread rolls or dough and flatten them out.
- Place a spoonful of the meat and cheese mixture in the center of each roll.
- Fold the dough over the filling and seal it well.
- Brush with egg wash if desired for a golden finish.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Store leftover rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them in the oven at a low temperature until warmed through. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
