  • 2 pounds ground beef (80/20 blend) Use high-quality ground beef for the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices bacon Cook until crispy.
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese Experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns Toast on the grill.
  • Maple syrup For glazing.
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form it into patties.
  3. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
Cooking
  1. Grill the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Then flip them over and add a slice of cheese on each patty.
  2. During the last minute of cooking, drizzle maple syrup over the burgers.
  3. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill.
Assembly
  1. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topping with bacon and any optional toppings.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

If you have leftovers, store the cooked patties and bacon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the grill for best taste.
